Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus

In complete contrast to yesterdays post last nights film of choice was Mega Shark vs Giant Octopus, another film I've been meaning to watch for ages. That title holds so much potential but unfortunately it just doesn't live up to expectations. The low budget really shows throughout the film. The CG work is very low quality and there's not even a lot of it. The film is mostly just people talking about what is going on. Nearly all the good footage is in the trailer. Too much of the climax is just military types shouting orders and staring into the distance. There is nowhere near enough shark vs octopus action. Often a film like this can be redeemed by some outrageous violence or some gratuitous sex scenes but this film has neither. Although a couple of the shark/octopus fight shots did look a bit more like humping than fighting! The film almost makes it into the category of 'So bad, it's good' but it doesn't quite get there which just leaves it to be rubbish.
