Over 700,000

721,000 to be more accurate. That's how many copies Starcraft II sold in the US during its first two days on sale. Apparently it was over 1.5 million worldwide and they're expecting it to reach 6.5 million by the end of the year. It's not the biggest selling game ever but that's very good for an RTS which has never been the most popular type of game. I've been trying to decide if it's my favorite RTS ever. I think that for now, while it's still fresh, that it is. We'll have to wait a bit longer to see if it's got the longevity that classics like the original Starcraft, Warcraft III or Age of Mythology had. Hopefully I'll have to time to play more this weekend.

  1. That's fantastic, it just shows that there are a lot of people out there who appreciate quality.
Hope you get lots of time to play.
